Welcome to the 35th Festival du Bois!
Maillardville's Music & Culture Festival

Join us for the 35th Anniversary Festival du Bois, March 8 to 10. We can't wait to welcome you back to the big tents in Mackin Park!

Expect a festival full of lively music and dance featuring some of the finest artists from across the country in concerts and workshops. Bring your friends and family along! Come hear the music of Acadia in recognition of the 2024 Acadian Congress, dance to contra music, experience the wonder of crankies, visit the Métis Village Experience, have fun at special shows for kids, and revel in a wealth of francophone folk, world, roots and contemporary music – and so much more!

Come grab some plaid and your pals and say "bonjour!" to Festival du Bois in Maillardville (Coquitlam), the cradle of francophone culture in BC.

In the Children’s Tent (Petit Chapiteau), see shows by La Famille Legeré, Will's Jams, Lyne Chartier, & Monsieur André. There are more surprises on site, too!

You're cordially invited to revel in an ambiance of friendship and warmth. Welcome to Maillardville, the cradle of francophone culture in BC.

Métis Village Experience

Visit the Métis Village Experience at Festival du Bois to enjoy, explore, learn and appreciate the rich Métis history, art, culture, perspectives, language and tradition that have been part of this country for over 200 years.

In this very special part of the festival, and under the guidance of elders, artists, musicians and other knowledgeable community members, you will experience some of the rich and dynamic Métis culture. Expect to see musicians, dancers, storytellers, craftspeople, artisans and more.

Festival du Bois is excited to be partnering with the North Fraser Métis Association to offer you a glimpse into the Métis experience in British Columbia.

Come by, stop for a while, and share in the Métis spirit!

Geneviève Kyle-Lefebvre and the entire podcast team were at the Festival du Bois. Live or relive the experience by listening to Geneviève walking around the festival meeting reviewers, spectators and artists!

We acknowledge that Festival du Bois is taking place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem First Nation). We thank the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm who continue to live on these lands and care for them, along with the waters and all that is above and below.
