On this International Women’s Day, come and discover:
Joannie Gill from the Pekuakamiulnuatsh First Nation in Quebec, who has lived in Vancouver with her family since April 2018. She became a cultural consultant to create bridges between the Francophones and the Indigenous peoples.
Ingrid Broussillon, from the West Indies, was comforted by the softness and warmth of the traditional tales of her native island. Storyteller and founder of Griottes Polyglottes, she combines storytelling, theater and improvisation to give adults and children an original experience in the practice of a language.
One thing brings them together, the oral transmission of their respective culture. They therefore join forces for the Festival du Bois to co-create a show inspired by Metis tales and legends, with a colorful touch of the Antilles.
