Bon Débarras is a trio of brilliant young Montréal-based multi-instrumentalists who play music forged in the traditions of French-Canada, and fused with the modern-day influences of their very multicultural city home. The result is original roots music, part neo-folklore and part world music, pulsing with the driving beat of podorythmie (foot percussion). Add ukulele, banjo, guitar, kora, tres, bass, stomping and wash boards, harmonica and a bunch of other things and you have a remarkable sound that stretches back to the 17th century, but which is very much part of the 21st. Band members are Dominic Desrochers, Jean-François Dumas and Cédric Dind-Lavoie.
