Roger Dallaire calls himself a musical “trad’badour” because for him, tradition is not only about what has happened in the past. Proud of his French-Canadian cultural heritage, this musician, storyteller, ventriloquist, dancer, puppeteer, and folklorist lives tradition every day, bringing it to vivid life wherever his travels take him. At Festival du Bois, Roger performs as a solo as well as with Daniel Gervais. rogerdallaire.com
Daniel Gervais has been playing the violin since the age of five, today playing a variety of fiddle styles as well as classical violin. He was both the 2011 and 2016 Canadian Grand Master Fiddle Champion, the first and only Albertan to win that prestigious title. Currently Daniel teaches, records, performs and tours, often with Roger Dallaire in their show, “Trad’badour”. www.danielgervais.ca
