Festival du Bois is proud to welcome The Métis Village Experience and the North Fraser Métis Association. Learn, share, and celebrate Métis culture as a living and evolving presence.

The Métis are a distinct Indigenous People with their own history, culture, language, and traditions. The Métis identity grew from generations of relationships, resilience, and creativity. They continue to share their culture through music, dance, storytelling, and strong community connections.

Through cultural sharing and opportunities to connect with community members, visitors are invited to experience  Métis culture. This presentation is designed for all ages and welcomes everyone.

Rooted in the North Fraser region, the North Fraser Métis Association works to create inclusive spaces where Métis people can reconnect with culture, strengthen community, and support one another.
