De Temps Antan

A much-loved reel from Quebec’s Mauricie region, a ballad passed down through a family in St-Côme, call-and-response vocals that date back to the work songs of the province’s lumber camps: these age-old melodies inspire De Temps Antan, the virtuoso trio of Éric Beaudry, André Brunet and Pierre-Luc Dupuis. To the stomping grounds of Quebec and Acadia’s musical traditions, these young firebrands add their own musical flair and the occasional spice of something new to take the sounds of yesteryear on a rigourous outing.  With fiddle, accordion, harmonica, guitar, bouzouki, and the infectious rhythms of foot percussion and more, they create a sound bursting with boundless energy, laughter and that special joie de vivre.
